99 insane Google Flow video commands
The vocabulary Google actually documents, then the 99 shot commands creators pass around — camera moves, lighting, transitions, effects. Type your scene once and copy any of it with your scene already baked in.
Open Google Flow ↗- 1
Open Flow
Head to Google Flow and start a new scene. These commands work in the prompt box, on top of whatever shot you're building.
- 2
Lead with the shot
Put the camera instruction first, then your idea —
/droneviewa coastal highway at sunrise. Flow has no slash parser; the slash is just shorthand you can drop. - 3
Stack two or three
Combine one camera move, one lighting and one style — like
/orbit+/goldenhour+/filmic— for the good stuff.
The vocabulary Google actually publishes
Flow has no slash-command feature — the list further down is community shorthand. These are the exact terms and the prompt shape Google puts in its own Veo 3.1 guide and Flow help pages. Learn these first; tap any of them to copy.
Camera movement
Google keeps camera motion in its own sentence — “The camera pulls back.” — rather than burying it inside the action.
Shot composition
Lead with one of these so Veo fixes the framing before it invents anything else.
Lens & focus
The fastest way to make a shot read as filmed rather than rendered.
Veo 3 generates sound — this is the syntax for it
- DialoguePut the spoken line in quotation marks.
- Sound effectsPrefix with SFX: and describe it plainly.
- Ambient noisePrefix with Ambient noise: to set the background bed.
Negative prompts
Describe what you want, not what you don't. Google's example: “a desolate landscape with no buildings or roads” beats “no man-made structures”.
Clip length & format
Veo 3.1 generates 4, 6 or 8-second clips at 720p or 1080p, in 16:9 or 9:16. Plan shots to that length instead of fighting it.
Ingredients to Video
Attach up to three reference images — a character, an object, a style — and Flow keeps them consistent across prompts.
Frames to Video
Give a start frame (or a start and an end frame) and Flow generates the transition between them. The camera-controls menu lives in this mode.
Extend
Need longer? Extend reads the final frames of a Veo-generated clip and continues the action from there.
Scenebuilder
Sequence, reorder and trim your clips in one timeline, then download the whole scene.

The 99 community commands
The list creators pass around — not an official feature, just a fast way to remember 99 shots. Shuffled on purpose so you stumble into ones you'd never scroll to; hit a category chip to group them again, or tap ★ on the ones you keep using.
Add a scene and it drops into every command automatically. Or leave it and edit later.
